Looks like a hamburger, tastes like a gardenburger. Absolutely amazing! Spot on compared to my original grey SH-101. And by spot on I mean at least 99% the same when matching settings including the filter and resonance characteristics. You can easily get those acid-like squelchy Simon Posford “Hallucinogen” album sounds as well as the Boards Of Canada lead and bass sounds heard all over their albums. It looks like an SH-101, it just doesnât sound like one.The original SH-101 is a character synth. Thatâs why itâs still sought after. No one is really in need of a generic single oscillator monosynth these days, so if you are going to use the space and spend the money it is likely because of a synths particular unique tone.
