There is no way to travel with this thing on a plane Well I have to say this is one of the most disappointing SKB case I have ever bought. Like some previous reviews mentioned this is a very flimsy case. I use to joke with my friends on the older models of SKB cases I own where I can jump on the case without breaking anything and I’m 200lbs, thus study enough to be thrown on a plane over piles of suitcases. Like the second reviewer said, it’s cheap and flimsy. Since this case was made for a special instrument (that is NOT cheap) …. why not make a QUALITY product ?I would have loved to get a plush lined case (like Fender make for their Stratocaster or P-Bass)… with metal TSA latches.Instead it’s made with foam interior (I am wondering how many years before it turns to powder ?)….. and the case itself is extremely FLIMSY…. when you lift it up and the handle pulls on one side, the aluminum strip bends and groans, flexing…
After reading both of the reviews I decided to go for this case. I checked the website for the company and it seemed to look pretty good, so I got it. That was a bad decision. The plastic on the “hard” case is so thin you could shatter it with a punch. I’m not joking–it sucks. I’ve had it for two weeks and even though I’ve been very gentle, one corner has already cracked completely though. No drops or bangs. Heck, I haven’t even taken the keytar anywhere in the case yet. How can this case cost…
