This should cost more, but it doesn’t! Probably the best Ukulele for less than $50 you’ll find anywhere. Let me start by saying I’m a bit of a Ukulele (and yes, it’s pronounced oo-koo-lay-lee) nut. I own more ukulele’s than I care to disclose, from rare collector Kamakas and lessor ones and I love them all. This Mugig soprano is my latest acquisition – I actually bought it for my wife in hopes that it would interest her in learning to play – and if not, it wouldn’t be a great financial loss.So what do I think of this? The intonation is perfect, even at the highest frets It arrived in tune, with the strings already pre-stretched, so it’s already staying in tune. It is a natural mahogany wood with a very clear finish. The tuners have a slightly rubberized feel to the black pegs, which makes for a sure grip when tuning. The bridge is a pin-type, as used on steel string guitars, but the strings are nylon. The intonation is perfect, even at the highest frets.
