Aggressive sounds that stand up to the drums; fat sounds that support the rhythm; funky sounds that generate a groove – the volca Bass is an analog groove box that has what you need for a wide range of bass lines. Although simple in structure, the analog sound engine has an unmistakable presence with subtle nuances that cannot be reproduced by a digital simulation; it’s a great choice for acid house and many other styles of music. The step sequencer distilled from the Electribe is not only visually intuitive; it’s also a powerful way to generate “free form” bass loops that will stimulate your inspiration. These powerful and fun-to-use true-analog devices deliver a diverse array of fat sounds that can be obtained only from an analog synthesizer. Each is also equipped with sequencing/recording capabilities for intuitively generating performances. Great little machine. I am amazed at how good this little unit actually is. I’ve built Roland TR-909 and 808 clones which are also very good but pricey machines, but for less than $175 including shipping I can get nearly the exact sounds I can from the big boys. I now own a Volca Beats, Bass and Digital FM and with very little experience I can make beautiful music in my little home made studio that is beyond my wildest dreams. If the Korgs stand the test of time, then I would say that they are the best little…

This is absolutely the best polyphonic synth for its price point without a doubt. If you’re new and want to try your hand at analogue synthesis, this device has too much capability for too little money to pass up. This review should be seen as advice to those who already have analogue equipment (specifically midi controllers like the BSP).Let’s start with the pros:1) Great…
