Yamaha KP65 Kick Drum Tower is THE ONE! I’m using the Alesis Forge electric drums (but not the electric cymbals – I still use real cymbals), and while I like the drums a great deal, I found myself disappointed with the kick drum pad, specifically in use with my DW3000 double-bass drum pedal. Even on max sensitivity, it wouldn’t register all strokes with both beaters. After doing some research, I found this Yamaha KP65, which is also about $20 less expensive than the Alesis kick tower. The Yamaha kick tower is AWESOME! Works…
Almost as silent as any DTX drum pad This review is for the KP100KP100 fixes all of the issues I had with the KP125W (noted below): I honestly can’t believe how silent this thing is. To give you an idea, it sounds just about as noisy as (strongly) hitting any of the DTX pads I have (DTX XP100T and DTX XP100SD). Though I’d still strongly recommend having a rubber mat below it, specially if you have neighbors downstairs, as constantly stomping on the pedal still create a lot of vibrations that they can hear.I…

While it does indeed work, I do have to watch it since it moves around a good bit and my pedal can actually move away from where it’s clamped down. I probably…
