Better than a $70 bass deserves to be Based on the previous review I knew this would take some tweaking to make it play well. Out of the box, the truss rod nut was fully tightened giving the neck some serious back bow, so as a result every note you played had fret buzz. I backed off the truss rod to give it the proper relief using the included allen wrench. The neck also had to be shimmed to achieve the right neck angle. Both of these adjustments took a grand total of about 10 minutes, and now this thing plays better than most $200…

The workmanship is excellent for something that is 75 dollars. The paint is glossy, smooth with no orange peel. Looks professionally done. The neck is tight and doesn’t tweak as the strings are tuned. The chrome plated finish on the hardware is blemish free and bright.
