Good for someone not knowing exactly what they like I’m not primarily a bass player and I have limited experience in this area, but I got a set of these a year ago and they still haven’t gone dead. Great roundwounds, balanced tension is where it’s at I love the balanced tension sets that D’addario puts out – the output on each string is much more consistent and the feel of the strings is consistent too. It was a huge pet peeve of mine when my E and A strings would boom out while the D & G sounded thin and lifeless. This set solves that problem!I dig the way the nickels age too. These are replacing my Fender 8920 strings on my precision bass now. I used to use the Fenders because of the 110 E string. The 107 on these doesn’t feel different enough for me to notice but its not tapered so it does feel more even when I play closer to the bridge.
