Decent strings for the price. I went with these … I bought these for my Fender Mustang PJ. Caveats: I am new to short scale basses (I used to play a Fender Jazz), and these are personal preferences.Having to cut the strings to fit was disconcerting (I double-checked that they were the short scale, the length was so off on the E and A). Mainly the tone is super-bright and metallic, and the strings are very noisy to play. Some of this could be the way the bass is set up, but even raising the action, there’s a lot of finger noise…
I bought two sets of these, one for a Fender Squier Modified Jaguar bass and the other for an Epiphone EB-0.
