Sennheiser e906 Supercardioid Dynamic Mic for Guitar Amps

I researched a few others, and have owned many of the classic cab mics over the years and thought this might be a good option with my renewed interest in recording at home. Great mic for dirty guitars! I only use an sm57 for the top of the snare, and only because I can’t get ‘that sound’ easily without one. As far as dynamic guitar mics go, I’ve mostly used my vintage 421 up close on guitar amps, and loved the results. I’ve owned an e609 for almost a decade, and never liked it much for guitar, and it serves mostly as my under the snare mic. I have a show coming up where I have 2 guitar players in a tight orchestra pit, so I got 2 of these to save having to have bulky 421’s take up too much…
