Tried them on my cajon. They are quite nice! They add another sound I can add to my arsenal. Just received the broomsticks in the mail. Had a chance to test them out on my Meinl cajon, and they are quite nice! They add another sound I can add to my arsenal. Definitely sounds quieter than playing with hands or even rods. I like the subtle brushed sound though. It’s so quiet though I wonder if the cajon might require miking when it normally wouldn’t, if I have singers or other instruments behind me. Great sound! May not cut through in live situations, but great for recording. Will not last forever, though. I purchased these to complement my Vater Cajon Brushes. It turns out that they feel the same diameter and offer ALMOST the same sounds. These broomsticks play a little softer than the Vater Cajon brushes, and give a nicer “swish” sound than the harder plastic used in the Vaters. I don’t see these Broomsticks lasting too long, but I bought them for a specific purpose and that was met in my ears. You can get a nicer “smush” sound than plastic brushes of this type, and you can…
