Apartment dweller approved! These are great heads. Brought the db level down to low 70s/72 and mostly mid 60’s. I used a phone app to check before and after noise levels. I still used a little dampening in my bass drum and 16” floor tom as the lower frequencies travel more, and they still sound great. I live i an apartment and I don’t want to disturb my neighbors.Additionally, I tried the RTOM Black Hole kit for my entire set. I think these are better. Excellent for near-silent drumming. Bounce-back is authentic to plastic heads. These heads are as close to silent as a head can be. I could drum all night in my apartment, if it weren’t for loud cymbals or a thumping bass pedal. They do present the possibility of being too quiet, depending on your need. I was looking for the most quiet solution available, but others may want to preserve sound quality. I may steer those in the latter camp towards pads or tone control rings, if complete silence isn’t the goal. These do have a much more authentic bounce back than any mute…
