I’m not sure what a beginner uke is anymore. I keep seeing comments that this is a fantastic beginner uke. That is rubbish. This is a fantastic ukulele regardless of skill level. What do you want before it is no longer a beginners instrument? It has a rosewood fretboard, nickel frets, geared tuners, great action, great sound, comes with quality strings. So what’s left? I love my little big uke I had a Kala Makala soprano and my music teacher (yes, I’m an adult taking music lessons) thought maybe the concert size would be a little easier. She was right.The soprano is so cute and I love mine, but the sound that comes out of this concert size is a little less tinny and more smooth.
