Great playing strings, fun to look at, too! The properties of this string set are great. Sustain, tone, durability… it’s all there. (Just be careful when stringing your bass so as not to scrape off the coating). Then, for fun, DR has coated them in various color choices, and you are sure to get ‘feedback’ from folks when they see them on your instrument. They are truly bright in appearance and have a sort of ‘glow’ in room light, well before you expose them to black lighting. It’s my opinion that the coating reduces the string tonal…
