One Star OK. I’ve been playing mandolin for over 20 years, and I NEVER break strings when I’m tuning up. I put new strings on my mandolin January 1. It was January 20 when this happened. I was using a digital tuner. Well, for some reason, after getting the two G strings right, and the two D strings right, and the first A string right, my hand got disoriented on the peghead and I thought I was tightening up the second A string, but my fingers were actually turning the tuning peg on the first E…
