I would highly recommend this no-nonsense bass for anyone looking to start out … I have been playing this bass for several months now, and although I am relatively amateur at the instrument, I have been very impressed with the quality of the sound and the craftsmanship. The body of the bass is nothing fancy, but that is expected given the very reasonable price. The electronics seem top notch (which makes sense given Yamaha’s reputation). Overall, I would highly recommend this no-nonsense bass for anyone looking to start out playing bass without spending your retirement…
