I thought these had disappeared I was pleasantly surprised to discover these are still available, and even better on Amazon Prime. These taiko bachi are decently balanced, are a good size, and a nice weight. I believe they are hickory, not the “standard” kashi wood that heavier bachi from Japan use.I’ve been using them on and off for a few weeks now, and they feel pretty similar to my bachi from SFTD, except that they have some sort of coating on them (Polyurethane, maybe?).
