Unimpressed Well, I figured since it’s a Shubb, it should be good. It looked really nice, and seems well made. However, I couldn’t get it to apply pressure evenly across the strings, no matter how much I fiddled with it. And I fiddled with it a LOT. It just wouldn’t mute the strings at the far end. I tried for over an hour to get it to work. The instructions say it takes a bit of playing around to get it to work right. Well, I couldn’t. It was just too finicky, and if it was that bad in my home, how much…
An excellent dobro capo An excellent dobro capo….but it could use a very slight improvement in design: since the thinner stings are, um, thinner, they are not as effectively clamped as the heavier gauge ones, and as such, tend to buzz a bit. I think a solution would be to slightly in crease the “forward lean” of the bar. I have tried, with some success to accomplish a similar result by pressing firmly down over the 1st string during the clamping process. This issue may just be specific to my {Beard} dobro…
