Great mic for dirty guitars! I only use an sm57 for the top of the snare, and only because I canât get âthat soundâ easily without one. As far as dynamic guitar mics go, Iâve mostly used my vintage 421 up close on guitar amps, and loved the results. Iâve owned an e609 for almost a decade, and never liked it much for guitar, and it serves mostly as my under the snare mic. I have a show coming up where I have 2 guitar players in a tight orchestra pit, so I got 2 of these to save having to have bulky 421âs take up too much…
