Excellent kit for budding percussionists! We purchased this kit as a replacement to the expensive monthly rental kit we had received for my daughter’s 5th grade band. This kit is perfect! It is the exact same kit we had been renting, and we were able to purchase it for much less than if we had bought out the rental agreement or just kept renting it. The only thing my daughter had to do was put a piece of duct tape on the snare drum to get the right tone (Google it – it’s a thing :)). I would definitely recommend this kit for budding…
Great kit! This kit was purchased to replace the one that we had been renting. This one is better, hands down. This kit has the notes engraved on the bells, which is a huge help to a child learning to play. The kit we were renting did not have this, and we have found it made a huge difference for our child. This has all the same equipment that came in the Ludwig version that we initially rented from the music store. The advantage to this one is that my monthly payments actually go to pay this off rather than go to enhance the music store’s bottom line.
