Good sound for an affordable I bought both the 8″ and 10″ PDP Mini Timbales to supplement my 5-piece kit. Being a new drummer, I didn’t want to drop a ton of money before I had some real drummer chops, and PDP, being an offshoot of DW, seemed a reasonable compromise. The difference between the 2 brands, as I understand is that PDP is the more “line manufactured” of the two, where DW is mostly about custom, but the engineering for both is similar.
