Alesis PercPad Compact, Four-Pad Percussion Instrument

MIDI works perfectly! I am beyond impressed. I bought this for the midi output feature and it works flawlessly. I don’t know why it didn’t work for some but my theory is maybe their external sound card wasn’t working correctly. I plugged it in and right away noticed how great the sensitivity was. Great item especially for the price. This is a great way to have accessory percusson sounds for my drum set without buying all kinds of expensive accessories (like cowbells, etc.) and their holders, brackets, etc. Not to mention the time and effort consumed in setting all that up every time. An amplifier is, of course, required though. I made a bracket to mount mine to a standard cymbal stand. The first one I got had a pad with a bad static sound when struck.
